Competition is fierce to gain a foothold in this industry, so qualifications help to get that important first job. Median Wages in 2008 was $14.15 an hour, $29,440 a year. The average growth for 2006-2016 is 7% to 13% and projected needed employees are about 40,000. Having your own home business or becoming a professional can bring in even more money.
